My husband’s mom and late abuelita are known for their amazing abilities in the kitchen. I’ve shared my mother-in-law’s unbelievable Thanksgiving Stuffing recipe. This time, a simple yet tasty recipe from James’s abuelita.
- 8 ounces green beans
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- ¼ cup sweet onions, chopped
- ½ cup shaved almonds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- Add green beans to boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain.
- In a frying pan, heat olive oil on medium heat. Add garlic, onions and almonds. Sauté until almonds are toasted.
- Add green beans to the frying pan and cook for 5 minutes.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
